Privacy Policy — Cart Total

Cart Total is designed to provide a private, offline-first shopping list and budget-tracking experience.
Information stored on your device
Cart Total stores the following information locally on your device:
- Shopping lists
- Item names, quantities, and prices
- Shopping budgets
- Receipt and shopping history
- App preferences and settings
This information is not uploaded to Cart Total servers and cannot be accessed by the developer.
Cart Total does not require you to create an account.
Crash reporting
Cart Total uses Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to identify crashes and improve app reliability.
When the app crashes or encounters a serious error, Crashlytics may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:
- Crash logs and stack traces
- App version
- Device model
- Operating system version
- App and device state at the time of the crash
- Installation identifiers used for crash reporting
This diagnostic information is used only to investigate technical problems and improve the stability of Cart Total. It does not include the contents of your shopping lists, budgets, item prices, or receipt history.
Diagnostic data is processed by Google in accordance with the applicable Firebase and Google privacy terms.
Analytics and tracking
Cart Total does not currently use usage analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioural profiling.
The app does not track which shopping lists or items you create or how you use individual app features.
App ratings and reviews
Cart Total may occasionally ask you to rate or review the app after completing several shopping trips.
Ratings and reviews are handled through Google Play. If you choose to submit a rating or review, that information is processed by Google Play according to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
Information Cart Total does not collect
Cart Total does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or contact details
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos or media
- Payment or financial account information
- Shopping-list contents through Crashlytics
- Advertising information
Cart Total does not sell personal information.
Data deletion
You can delete locally stored Cart Total data by:
- Deleting individual lists or receipts within the app
- Clearing the app’s storage through your device settings
- Uninstalling the app
Crash diagnostic information already transmitted to Firebase is retained and managed according to Google and Firebase’s applicable retention policies.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated if future versions of Cart Total introduce features such as cloud synchronisation, usage analytics, advertising, accounts, or other online services.
Any updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
